KENDO TEKMOVANJE

This year the FRENCH KENDO OPEN will be an exceptional edition. The term of the World Kendo Championships in Seoul will make this event a rehearsal for all European national teams.
The coming of the Japanese delegations of Kento and Kokushikan University, those of Korean Universities give an international dimension to our competition, already recognized as one of the most important in Europe. It is being refocused this year by the arrival of the USA national team.
Saturday, February 10 will be reserved for individual competitions divided into 5 categories:
MEN 1st to 3rd dan
MEN 4th to 6th dan
MEN 7th dan
WOMEN 1st to 3rd dan
WOMEN 4th to 7th dan
On Sunday, February 11 will be held the team competitions of 3 fighters in 2 categories: Men and Women. Incomplete teams will be reinforced by members of the Kokushikan University delegation.
The event will be closed by a friendly tournament between the Teams of France, Kokushikan and 2 teams of “Rest of the World”.

12:00 – 13:30 Lunch @ Sudstadt cafeteria

* Those who wish to have lunch at the cafeteria, please indicate your wish at the time of your registration. Lunch coupon (approx. €10-15/person) will be made available for your purchase (cash payment only!) at the gym.

13:30 – 16:00 (2.5 hrs) IBU Keiko Method, Shiai-Keiko, Keiko, etc.

Join us for this year’s Iijima Cup!
Fun and friends in Amsterdam!
In addition to – again – wonderful handmade prizes, Iijima sensei will of course bring some beautiful, must-win prizes from Japan. If you haven’t been to the Iijima Cup before, you should know there is a relaxed atmosphere and some serious kendo. All the more reason to make the trip to Amsterdam!

Last year we welcomed 211 participants from 16 different countries, lots of high level kendoka & many strong teams. If not the best preparation for the WKC, at least the most fun!
